Overview -

The pipe and drape system we use is very flexible and can be used for a variety of purposes beyond trade show booths. Some of the purposes we have used the pipe and drape system for are room dividers or even room “creators”. We have created a “room” within a room in industrial plants and hotel ballrooms, for example. We have created dressing rooms for fashion shows in shopping malls, rooms on a theatrical stage for plays and religious services. The system has also been used on several movie shoots to hide areas not desired in the shot.

But the main use of pipe and drape is for trade show booths and although we are not a full-service decorator, we do offer booth only set-up of up to 50 trade show booths. We also offer the pipe and drape materials on a customer pick-up basis for client set-up.

Planning

For many of the trade shows and other projects we start by taking measurements of the hall/gymnasium/stage/ballroom space. We then create a scale drawing of the space showing all booths/dividers and any other items that may be involved.

Equipment

Pipe & Drape

The pipe and drape system we use is very flexible and allows for a wide variety of booth sizes and shapes. The pipe used for uprights comes in 3’ high which is usually used for the divider between booths, 8’ high which is usually used for the back wall of the booths, and 9’ – 16’ high adjustable which is used to section off a room, cover windows, etc.

The horizontal pipes we use come in 1’,2’,3’, 4’,6’,8’ and 10’ fixed lengths and 4’ – 7’, 6’ – 10’, 8’ – 14’, and 9’ –16’ adjustable lengths. The drapery is available in silver, black, blue, brown, burgundy, white, and gray materials all in 4’ widths. The drapery panels are available in 3’, 8’ and 16’ heights.

Video Playback –

Some participants in a trade show have a video tape or DVD that they want to run on a continuous basis. We offer auto-repeat VHS tape decks, DVD players, monitors, video projectors and screens as well as draped AV carts for these booths.

Lighting/Power Distribution -

We offer flood lighting for trade show booths which is useful if the room they are located in is not brightly lit. Special effect and moving lights are also available which can create a company logo scanning the area. If allowed at the trade show, this can be used to draw attention to the booth.

We can distribute power to every booth, or selectively on a booth by booth basis.
